He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine Johnson Comeaux. He is survived by: his sons, Joel Allen Comeaux, Jr. (Connie), Robert "Bobby" Comeaux (Angel), Michael "Mike" Comeaux and David Comeaux (Jill). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
