It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joann Duncan (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Waymon Duncan; her parents, Merrick Hidalgo and Eula Marie Boone Hidalgo; and her siblings, Katherine Lynas and Larry Hidalgo.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard L. Duncan (Becky) of Bedford, TX and Mark M. Duncan (Kay) of Opelousas; her grandchildren, Jennifer Steffensen (Matt), Michael Duncan, Sarah Duncan and Matthew Duncan; and her great grandchild Miles Steffensen.
Due to the Covid 19 mandated gathering restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park for Joann Hidalgo Duncan.
