The memory of Jimmy N. Grayson (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willy B Grayson and Martha Grayson; his siblings, Larry Grayson and Martha Jean Grayson; and his grandson Cody Michael OPry (OPry).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Grayson; his children, Jimmy Grayson, Jr. (Chrissy), Christal OPry (Michael) and Cindy Dimonde (Cody); his siblings, Michael Grayson and Linda Luneau; his grandchildren, Nikki Marcotte, Zak OPry, Ashley G. Landreneau, Taylor Grayson, Courtney Grayson, Jill Dimonde, Adrianna Dimonde, Carli Dimonde and Mason Dimonde; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Dimonde, Luke Dimonde, Peach OPry, Lilah Brill, Kohen Chambers, Charlie OPry and Henry Opry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sibille Funeral Home (2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Port Barre (853 Saizan Ave, Port Barre, LA 70577). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Palmetto Methodist Cemetery (486 Joseph St, Palmetto, LA 71358).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in honor of Jimmy to the Calcutta House in Lafayette.
