He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman James Melancon and Mary Moore; and his sister Susan McClelland. He is survived by: his wife Mary Brown Melancon of Opelousas; his sons, Jacob Melancon (Crystal) of Pine Prairie, Randy Faul (Mary) of Opelousas and Jeramy Faul (Carmen) of Ville Platte; his grandchildren, Annalise Melancon, Rosalee Melancon, Ashtyn Faul, Thailyn Faul, Serenity Faul, Cayden Faul, Kaybri Faul, Emma Kate Faul, Rhett Faul, Kara, Tim, Haley, Jayce, Jaden, Charleigh, Emmy and Kaden; his great grandchildren, Noah Faul, Ryker Faul and Dallas Faul; his brother Michael Melancon of New Orleans; and his godchildren, Ashley McClelland and Daniel Morgan.
