He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hargroder and Helen Hargroder; and his brothers, Joseph Clebert Hargroder and John Berchman Hargroder. He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Hargroder of Waynesboro, VA.; his son Jackson Luttrell Hargroder of Huntington; and his brothers, James Milton Hargroder of Opelousas and Jude Wayne Hargroder of Opelousas. He is also survived by his family and friends.
