It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janys Elise Huntington Schexnader in Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Schexnader; her parents, Theodore Wensel Huntington and Mabel Lacombe Huntington; her grandson Alexander; and her stepson Thomas Schexnader (Tom).

She is survived by: her children, Don, Denise and Dr. Hunt; and her stepdaughters, Anne Hebert and Kathy Gauthier. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
