She was predeceased by: her son Joseph "Bubba" Brown; her parents, Joseph Venable and Iris Richard; her stepfather Wilton Anslen; her siblings, Johnny Wayne Venable, Hank Perrodin and Iris Elaine Pitre; her grandparents, Joseph "Pa-Pa Potty" Ira Richard and Della "Granny" Rita Sonnier; her aunts, Sylvia "Tossie" Quebedeaux and Della "Nanny" Rita Geautreaux; her uncle Joseph "Bubba" Linus Richard; her nephews, Scotty Lee Devillier and Christopher Hargroder; her niece Joni Doucet; her goddaughter Donna Pitre; her parents-in-law, Ozea Noel and Joseph A. Brown; her stepfather-in-law Wilsey Noel; and her siblings-in-law, Laura Devillier, Leroy "Lee" Devillier, Leroy James Brown and Ray Pitre.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph "J. L." Brown; her daughter Chrissie; her sister Renee Klein (Rory); her grandchildren, Faith Klein and Preston Klein; her sister-in-law Carolyn "Cookie" Venable; her goddaughter April Carriere (Alexis Womack); her siblings-in-law, Glenn Brown (Georgiana), Charlene Brown, Genieva Pitre, Ruth Doucet (Roy) and Gloria Olivier (Roy); and her close friends, Cynthia Miller and Anna of Jim's Seafood. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at 8:00 PM at the Sibille Funeral Home (2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 6:15 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
