He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Louanna Thomas Williams; his daughter Rona Marie Williams; his granddaughter Sonja Marie Page; his parents, Anthony Williams and Regina Stelly Williams; his parents-in-law, Carlton Thomas, Sr. and Marie Lucille Alsandor Thomas; his brother Oscar Williams, Sr.; his siblings-in-law, Ulton Mayon, Sr., Ernest Reed, Joseph Lewis, Sr., Joseph Richard, Sr., Paul Johnson, Sr., Henry Thomas, John Beverly, Sr., Rose Richard, Verlia Lewis, Verna Johnson and Selena Thomas; and his friend Glory.

He is survived by: his children, James Williams, Jr. (Roslyn) of Lafayette, LA, Harold Williams, Sr. (Kassandra) of Carencro, LA, Anthony Maxwell Williams (Amanda) of Atlanta, GA and Marie Annette Greene (Dorsey, Sr.) of Opelousas, LA; his brother Jewel Williams (Dora) of Opelousas, LA; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Williams of Loreauville, LA, Philoman Mayon of Leonville, LA, Flozia Reed of Houston, TX, Jeanella Beverly of Opelousas, LA, Elizabeth Green (Ronald) of Houston, TX, Geraldine Thomas of Leonville, LA, Leland Thomas, Sr. (Earline) of Leonville, LA and Carlton Thomas, Jr. (Linda) of Opelousas, LA. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
