It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Percy Lafrance (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on March 23, 2018, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his significant other Rose Chavis; his parent Alidore LaFrance; and also Mary Albertine Carson LaFrance. He is survived by: his children, Percy Chavis (Hazel) of Opelousas, LA, Robert Henry (Sharon) of Opelousas, LA, John Henry of Opelousas, LA and Monica Jones of Opelousas, LA; his siblings, Joe LaFrance, Melvin LaFrance (Norma Jean) and Betty Thomas (Johnny) of Holland Village, TX; and also, Amy Colligan and Allie Colligan of Lawtell, LA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
