He was predeceased by: his daughter Sophia Louise Mason; his parents, Edward James Mason and Edna Jack Mason; his siblings, Mack Mason, Ernest Mason, Barbara Mason and Betty Mason; his niece Edna Mason; and his nephew Mack Mason.
He is survived by: his son James Mason Winnfield of Baton Rouge, LA; and his sisters, Willie Mae Rue of Washington, LA, Annette Smith (James) of Melville, LA, Velma Mason of Lebeau, LA and Loretta Mason of Melville, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
