He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Alfred; his parents, Rev. Edward Alfred, Sr. and Leah Alfred; his children, Deborah Alfred and Dustin Alfred; and his siblings, Herbert Alfred, Sr., Julia Ardoin, Brenda Edwards, Edward Alfred, Jr. and Visiting.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bridget Alfred of Lafayette, LA, Ramona Alfred of Baton Rouge, LA, Lashanda Coward of Pearland, TX and Naketchia Alfred of Humble, TX; and his siblings, Ray Alfred of Jacksonville, FL, Ezra Alfred of Fayetteville, NC, Beatrice Johnson of Ville Platte, LA, Beanna Alfred of Houston, TX and Helen Thompson of Missouri City, TX. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
