He was predeceased by: his former wife Elnora King Jenkins; his parents, Mark Jenkins and Ezola Thomas Jenkins; his children, Paula Jolivette and Bryant Payne; and his brothers, Rossman Jenkins, Sr., Riseman Jenkins, Sr., Freddie Jenkins and Mark Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Maldonado Jenkins of Opelousas, LA; his sons, Herbert Lee Jenkins, Jr. of Carrollton, GA, Jeff Jenkins of Houston, TX and Johnny Richardson of Houston, TX; his daughters-in-law, Ramona Hill and Meredith Jenkins of Houston, TX; his siblings, Paul Jenkins of Opelousas, LA, Ervin Jenkins, Sr. of Opelousas, LA, Preston Jenkins of Lake Charles, LA, Mary Williams of New Orleans, LA and Lois Dorn of Opelousas, LA; his grandchildren, Tanika Jenkins, Krystal Dyer (Chris), Kimberly Jolivette, Koutney Boutte, Kortney Jenkins, Madison Jenkins, Neko Payne, Gabrielle Payne and Tatiyanna Payne; and his great grandchildren, Riley Carter, Xavier Dyer, McKenzie Dyer, Reagan Dyer and Bernard Boutte. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
