He was predeceased by: his wife Lovenia Landry Fontenot; his parents, Wesley Fontenot and Selena St. Andrew Fontenot; and his siblings, John Fontenot, Morris Fontenot, Celestine Pitre, Mable F. Fontenot and Bertha F. Palmer.
He is survived by: his children, Hatley J. Fontenot of Baytown, TX, Dwight J. Fontenot of Carencro, LA and Vanessa F. Hubbard of Opelousas, LA; and his siblings, Joseph Fontenot of Church Point, LA, Anna Delle Lemelle of Liberty, TX and Cecilia Guidry of Lake Charles, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
