He was predeceased by: his parents, Weston Richard, Sr. and Roseanna Thomas Richard; his siblings, Weston Richard, Jr., Roy Richard, Johnny Richard and Brenda Richard Thornton; and his parents-in-law, Aaron and Leona Bolden.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Bolden Richard of Opelousas, LA; his children, Harith Richard of Opelousas, LA, Haven Richard of Opelousas, LA and Eiesha Richard of Opelousas, LA; his siblings, Gilton Richard of Houston, TX and Mary Ann Oakley (Herbert) of Houston, TX; his siblings-in-law, Linda Rosette (Herman), Janice Semien (Donald, Sr.), Andrus Bolden, Aaron Bolden, Jr., Apostle Elbert Bolden and Clinton Bolden; and his godmother Marjorie Pickney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
