He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Vernon Briggs and Mildred Mistric Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Veillon Briggs of Opelousas; his children, Scott Briggs of Eunice and Kelly Briggs Bourgeois of Crowley; and his grandchildren, Lainey Briggs, Bryce Bourgeois and Brenna Bourgeois.
