Richard; her parents-in-law, Leonce and Mary Helen Pickney Kennerson; her sister-in-law Mary Kennerson Smith; and her godmother Viola Ned Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph James Kennerson of Opelousas, LA; her children, Paul D. Richard of Ville Platte, LA, Dawnia Kennerson-Steven (Seneca) of Baton Rouge, LA, Sandra Thomas of Houston, TX, Kym Guillory of Opelousas, LA, Diamonique Bell (DD) of Opelousas, LA and Tarshara Hicks (Al) of Baton Rouge, LA; and her siblings, Peter W. Richard (Abigail) of Washington, LA, Ronald J. Richard of Lafayette, LA, Mary Lorraine Richard Williams (Darryl) of Opelousas, LA and Theresa Richard of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 9:00 a. m. to 10:45 a. m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home. ** Please be advised we will adhere to the safety measures and precautions provided by the state of Louisiana due to COVID-19.
