He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Duplechain Miniex; his parents, George Miniex, Sr. and Agnes Miller Miniex; his brother Edward Miniex; and his siblings-in-law, Pearl Savoy Miniex, Pearl Smith Miniex, Alfred Henry and Hurley Jean.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Rayford Miniex (Diana Amos Miniex) of Opelousas, Rickey Wayne Miniex (Valerie Arceneaux Miniex) of Lafayette, Michael George Miniex (Francine Mitchel Miniex) of Opelousas and Martin Kent Miniex (Laura Esprit Miniex) of Opelousas; his granddaughter Marilyn Miniex of Opelousas; his siblings, Almo Miniex of Lafayette, Verna Mae Henry of Lake Charles and Annie Mae Jean of Port Arthur, TX; and his caregivers, Rosemary Guillory and Linda F. Amos. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
