He is survived by: his sister Cora Lee Sam of Lake Charles, LA; his uncle Wilbert Clay (Lillie Mae) of Opelousas, LA; his nephew Michael Sam of Beaumont, TX; his nieces, Cora Ann Garriet (Edward) of Lake Charles, LA, Paulette Hayes (Michael) of Opelousas, LA and Senith Sam of Beaumont, TX; his goddaughters, Debra Siverand of Richmond, VA and Bobbie Bush of Opelousas, LA; his close friends, Marvin, Mary Washington of Opelousas, LA and Michael Landry; and his cousin Rose Mary Johnson of Houston, TX. He is also survived by seven great nephews, three great nieces.
