It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Young (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on October 13, 2018, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Perkins Young. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Pope Young of Prairie Ronde; his mother Betty Jo Young of Vidor; his sons, Garland "Joey" Young, Jr. (Casie Bennnett) of Duson and Christopher Young (Liza Legrand) of Prairie Ronde; his sisters, Rebecca Kalsen and Belinda Bryan (Tracy) of Vidor Texas; his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Libby", Ashley Young, Chelsey Sherman (Blake), Kailey Bennett, Demi Bennett, Austin, Abigail, Noah Young, Madison, Tristan and Nadelyn Legrand; and his great grandchild Jace. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
