With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Juliette Lafleur Venable (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on May 9, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, A. V. Fontenot and Roy Venable; her son James Keith Fontenot; her parents, Alex Lafleur and Lima Lafleur; and her siblings, Robert LaFleur, Lionel LaFleur, Rose Ortego, Annabelle Simoneaux and Monica LaFleur.
She is survived by: her son Carl Andrew "Andy" Fontenot (Annette); her grandchildren, Jim Fontenot (Stacey), Aaron Fontenot (Erica), Matthew Fontenot, Cody Fontenot (Erin) and Stephanie Fontenot Simon (Karl); her great grandchildren, Coleton, Cullen, Ahnalyse, Kylie, Mackenzie, Alyssa, Aaron Jude and Jaxon; and her sisters, Catherine St. Cyr, Annie Bidstrup and Sandra Mistric. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
