He is survived by: his wife Shelly Fontenot of Arnaudville; his mother Della Artigue Fontenot Prudhomme of Opelousas; his children, Joshua Scott Fontenot (Adrienne) of Pawleys Island, James Clayton Fontenot, II of Arnaudville and Nichole Major of Arnaudville; his siblings, Toby Warren Prudhomme (Lisa) of North Carolina, Dina Marie Fontenot Marks (Mike) of Port Barre and Nicole Prudhomme Soileau of Lafayette; and his grandchildren, James Clayton Fontenot III, Peyton Fontenot, Keithlynn Fontenot, Austin Fontenot, Chailynn Fontenot, Gracelynn Majors and Gavin Tripplet II.
