He was predeceased by: his father Ferry Freeman, Sr.; his son Marvel Freeman; and his siblings, Michael Freeman, Angela K. Freeman, Jeanette Tezeno and Margaret Thomas.
He is survived by: his mother Myrtlene Tezeno Freeman; his children, Wyatt Freeman (Daisha), Yolanda Fontenot, Florencia Freeman, Courtney Freeman, Bianca Doomes, Talaina Freeman, Janelle Freeman, Alonzo Leday, Adrian Freeman and Lois Melvin; and his sisters, Norma Fontenot (Lonnie) and Denise Freeman. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
