He is survived by: his wife Betty Lavergne Fisher of Washington; his children, Eugene P. Fisher, III (Brenda) of Washington, George "Eddie" Fisher of Washington, James Keith Fisher (Lisa) of Opelousas, Charles "Billy" Fisher (Julie) of Opelousas, Donald Joseph Fisher (Kendell) of Big Cane, Christopher Shane Soileau (Tya) of Youngsville, Michael Paul Fisher (Lauren) of Youngsville and Brenda "Sue" Fisher of Washington; and his siblings, David Fisher of Eunice, Albert Fisher of Carencro, Vernon Fisher, Plaisance, Lucille "Lucy" O'Brien of Lafayette and Ella Mae "Mamie" Lafleur of Eunice. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (330 E Moundville St, Washington, LA 70589).
