She was predeceased by: her parents, Derbes Daire and Omerine Daire; her children, Susan "Sue" Darby and Floyd Luke Darby, Jr.; her grandchildren, Amie Ortego and Michael Luke Darby "Boulon"; and her siblings, Pauline Rape, Versie Lafleur, Marvin Daire, Joseph Daire and Kerron Daire.
She is survived by: her husband Floyd Luke Darby of Opelousas; her children, Jerry Darby (Linda), Mitch Darby (Jennifer) and Cynthia Ortego (Gary); her siblings, Littel Daire (Doc), Delouis Daire and Gladys Darby; her grandchildren, Jill Ventre Wilson, Travis Ortego, Katie Ortego, Nick Darby and Lane Darby; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Drake, Samantha Wilson, Skylar Grace, Cameron Ortego, Kallie Comardelle and Chase Comardelle.
Due to the Covid 19 mandated gathering restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery for Ethel Daire Darby.
