He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Fontenot and Ezore Fontenot; and his brother Paul S. Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Della Ann Myers Fontenot; his children, Keith Fontenot (Lynette) of Lafayette, Reggie Fontenot (PattiAnn) of Denver, CO and Kimberly Matt (Dale) of Port Barre; his sister Lou Sonnier (Irvy) of Opelousas; his grandchildren, Brandi Garcia (Alex), Spencer Matt (Emily), Hannah Fontenot, Dane Fontenot, Emily Fontenot and Zachary Fontenot; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Matt, Brayden Matt, Addilyn Garcia and Emma Grace Matt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
