He was predeceased by: his parents, Vorice Stanford and Elina Stanford; his former wife Sandy Yeman Stanford; his wife Julia Taylor Stanford; his brothers, Aaron Stanford and Shirley Stanford; and his great-nephew Sterling "Jo Jo" Silver, Jr..

He is survived by: his sister Ruth Chapman (Rob); and his nieces and nephews, Gary Stanford (Kim), Jim Chapman (Jenny), Brent Chapman (Laura), Jason Chapman (Angie), Dave Stanford (Dawn), Rebecca Stanford and Christy Stanford Enriguez (Abraham). He is also survived by family members and friends.
