Eldon Reeves Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eldon Reeves (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Joyce Reeves; his parents, Rev. Virgil Reeves and Hesper Reeves; his daughter Pegi Hoyt; his granddaughter Ayla Bergeaux; his brothers, Charles Reeves and Johnnie Fred Reeves; and his sister-in-law Louise Reeves.
He is survived by: his sons, Byron Reeves (Markay) and Barry Reeves (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Tiger, Connor Watson (Emelie), Craig Watson (Ruby), Masi Romero (Jason) and Hylie Bergeaux; his great grandchildren, Colton, Ella, Hudson, Austin, Hampton, Cecilia and Silas; his siblings, Rev. David Reeves (Ina), Harmon Reeves, Francis Reeves, Elizabeth Goleman (Freddy) and Rev. James Reeves (Veronica); and his sisters-in-law, Elaine Reeves and Danita Reeves.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Pentecostal Church of Opelousas (1437 Judson Walsh Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570).
