He was predeceased by: his father Roger Brown; his brother Herbert Charles Pete; his nephews, Jerome "Baby" Brown and Marcus Brown; his siblings-in-law, Delbert, Darrell, Donald LaFleur and Verma Thibodeaux; and his nieces, VaShayla and VcQuetta LaFleur.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Brown of Opelousas; his children, Eddie Desmond Brown, Sr. (Danielle) of Opelousas and Valaniecia Coleman (Errick) of Houston; his mother Eunice Brown of Grand Coteau; his grandchildren, Arianna Charisse Brown, Eddie Desmond Brown, Jr., Christopher Lee Brown, Kobe Dean Brown, Kaleb Michael Brown, Ethan Matthias Coleman and Judah Mateo Coleman; his siblings, Jerome Brown, John Brown (Leslie) and Jennifer Brown; and his friend Daniel Brown (Lisa).
