It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl D. Laviolette of Opelousas, Louisiana, born in Leonville, Louisiana, who passed away on March 22, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Laviolette; his stepgrandson Josh Fontenot; and his parents, Daniel Laviolette and Eunice Arnaud. He is survived by: his wife Mary Corinne Soileau; his children, Paul Laviolette (Deane) of Breaux Bridge, Mitchell Laviolette (Melanie) of Broussard and Nioka Gary of Breaux Bridge; his stepchildren, Greg Fontenot (Amy) of Clearwater, Tony Fontenot (Terri) of Cecilia and Ann Lavergne (Jeff); and his siblings, Margie Forrest (Lawson) of New Orleans, Mike Laviolette of Massachusetts and Johnny Laviolette of New Orleans. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; three step grandchildren; a step great-grandchild.
