He is survived by: his mother Brenda Pelican of Opelousas, LA; his stepfather Morris Howard of Sunset, LA; his children, Dwight Pelican, Jr. of Opelousas, LA, Destiny Pelican of Opelousas, LA, Daisy Pelican of Opelousas, LA, Paris Pelican of Opelousas, LA and Denvar Thomas of Opelousas, LA; his siblings, Eujames Pelican, Jr. of Opelousas, LA, Aaron Owens of Opelousas, LA, Jamie Pelican of Opelousas, LA and Carmen Washington of Opelousas, LA; his close friend Keaneu Thomas of Opelousas, LA; and his godchildren, Markez Davis, Brittany Henry and Malcomb "Pookie" Warren, Jr.. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
