He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Speyrer, Sr. and Celina Rivette Speyrer; his son Scott Owen Speyrer; and his brothers, Dr. Allen D. Speyrer and Charles Speyrer.

He is survived by: his wife Claire DeRousselle Speyrer; his daughters, Lisa Speyrer Briggs and Jennifer Speyrer Darby; his siblings, Gabe Speyrer, Jr. (Anne), Celina Hardy (Rixie) and Julia Hesser (Gary); and his grandchildren, Hayden Scott Speyrer, Nicholas John Darby, Tyler David Briggs, Savannah Jane Speyrer, Seth Robert Briggs and Lane Mitchell Darby.
