He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Amy and Zula Moreau Amy; his brother Robert "Bobby" Amy; and the mother of his children Lonna Lester Amy. He is survived by: his wife Jamaine F. Amy; his sons, Mark D. Amy (Annette), Brett R. Amy (Jody) and Jean Paul "JP" Amy (Kristine); his siblings, Wayne Amy (Cheri), Alan Amy (Gail), Kyle Amy and Cathy Amy; and his grandson Braxton Amy.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
