She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Brown and Ida Johnson Brown; her husband Kermit Pitre; her children, Charles Randy Pitre and Sheila Pitre Hester; and her brother Clayton Fontenot.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Katie Pitre Joubert, Charles Randy Pitre II and Keith Daniel Hester; and her great grandchildren, Tyler James Knott, Blakelyn Celeste Johnson, Stetson Daniel Johnson and Vivienne Idele Hester.
