He is survived by: his wife Monette McLeod Dean of Opelousas; his children, Layne Matthew Dean (Mechelle) of Nederland, Monty McLeod Dean (Adrianna) of St. Martinville, Michael Ross Dean (Blyss) of Church Point and Karen Dean Aguillard (Dustin) of Lafayette; his siblings, Douglas "Dougie" Dean (Tina) of Opelousas, William "Billy" Dean (Jane) of Baton Rouge, James "Jay" Dean (Pokie) of Longview, Betty Louise and Rozas (Nicky) of Sunset; and his grandchildren, Chase Brasseaux Dean, Bailey Elizabeth Dean, Jesse Blaine Dean, Norah Elizabeth Dean, Roan Matthew Dean and Wren Elizabeth Aguillard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
