He was predeceased by: his parents, Hervia Edwards, Sr. and Allie Gray Johnson; his sisters, Katie Whitaker, Lovie Rubin, Mahalia Wilhite and Georgia Bradley; his uncle Pete Johnson; and also Shalonda Pickens.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Edwards; his children, Donald Edwards (Kumi) of Brooklyn, NY, Patrick Pickens (Ronitha) of Beaumont, TX, Randy Pickens (Catherine) of Opelousas, LA, Carl Larnett, Ryan Larnett of Ville Platte, LA, Drexler Edwards (Jamie) of Baton Rouge, LA, Kisha Poullard of Opelousas, LA, LaToya Bell (Andrew) of Opelousas, LA and Sharon Edwards of Baton Rouge, LA; and his sister Pearl Lester. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
