It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Woodson Sr. (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on September 14, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Dana Marie Woodson Leger; his parents, Elie Woodson and Rena Lalonde Woodson; his grandparents, Colda, Alide Woodson, David and Marie Darby Lalonde; and his brother-in-law Arthur Latoilas.
He is survived by: his wife Jessica Richard Woodson of Leonville; his sons, David E. Woodson, Jr. of Opelousas, Bruce Woodson (Tony) of Leonville, Johnny Woodson (Spring) of Opelousas and Cody Lee Woodson (Tiffany) of Crowley; and his siblings, Billy James Dupre (Sheila Ortego Dupre) of Opelousas, Barbara Woodson Latiolais of Lawtell and Beverly Woodson Thibodeaux (Joseph) of Opelousas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
