He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Soileau and Lezima Fontenot Soileau; his siblings, Hubert Soileau, Verdine Meche, Jerry Dean Veillion and Joyce Dupre; and his grandsons, Chad and Donovan Soileau.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Belle Bertrand Soileau of Opelousas; his children, John Wayne Soileau of Winnie, Bryan Soileau (Cindy) of Maurice, Sharon Soileau Higginbotham (Mike) of Opelousas, Janet Lavergne (Bert) of Scott and Mona Coulter (Michael) of Lafayette; and his grandchildren, Christy Stelly, Mikey Higginbotham, Mindy Holland, Chris Soileau, Brent Soileau, John Curtis Soileau, Johanna Soileau, Damian Soileau, Johnathan Soileau, Samantha Molaison, Katie Soileau, Emily Hulin, Brandon Duhon, Amanda Duhon, Ashley Theriot, Morgan Broussard and Mitchell Coulter.
