He was predeceased by: his parents, Theobert LaVergne, Sr. and Amanthe Elkins; his siblings, Raymond LaVergne, Theobert LaVergne, Jr. and Erline Thibodeaux; his grandson Michael Logan Navarre; and his siblings-in-law, Clarence Sonnier, Harry Smith, Lester Lalonde, Deacon John Thibodeaux and Marie LaVergne.
He is survived by: his wife Jerilyn Guidry LaVergne of Sunset; his children, Tobyn LaVergne of Monroe, NC and Tisa LaVergne Janes (Chris) of Breaux Bridge; his siblings, Aby LaVergne (Sandra) of Lafayette, Lorella Sonnier of Church Point, Clara Smith of Opelousas, Gloria Lalonde of Opelousas and Germaine Guedry (Jack) of Sugar Land, TX; his grandchildren, Sasha LaVergne, Elijah Theobert LaVergne and Mimi Eppie LaVergne; and his sister-in-law Audrey LaVergne of Port Barre. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
