She was predeceased by: her husband James F. Brown; her son James "Peanut" Brown; her parents, Amos Johnson and Florence Johnson; and her sisters, Jane Johnson Carmouche and Leola Johnson Thompson.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael W. Brown (Antoinette) of Lafayette, LA and Mark A. Brown; her grandchildren, Terry Watson, Nettie "Mona", Natasha, Markeya, Mark, Taylor, Adrienne, Mackenzie and Parker Brown; her siblings, Paul Ivory Johnson (Gloria) of Opelousas, LA, Amos Johnson, Jr. (Deborah) of Leonville, LA, Larry Johnson (Judy) of Church Point, LA, Harry Johnson (Angela) of Lafayette, LA, Rena Johnson Angelle (Leroy), Leona Johnson Angelle and Rose Johnson Jenkins (Thomas) of Jackson, MS.; her nephew Terry Thompson; and her niece-in-law Alfredia Thompson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
