She was predeceased by: her husband James Bruce; her parents, Marry Charlotte Carlson and Charles Gates; and her siblings, Arlen Gates, Mildred Leloane and Lynn Gates.
She is survived by: her children, James Bruce (Connie) of LaBelle, Jeffery Bruce of Opelousas and Charlotte McBride of Opelousas; and her siblings, Jay Gates, Edith McCellan and Verna Emia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty- five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family request donations be made to Sibille Funeral Home to defer the cost of funeral expenses.
