With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Caroline Kay Bellard Duplechain (Opelousas, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2025 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Duplechain; her parents, Elvin Bellard and Alida Meche Bellard; and her siblings, Leroy Bellard, Kenneth Bellard and Joyce Brasseaux.
She is survived by: her siblings, J. T. Bellard and Norma Serio. She is also survived by her family extended to her 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (3915 LA-35, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery (3933 LA-35, Opelousas, LA 70570).
