We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2024, at the age of 83, Caldonia Staton of Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Caldonia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Caldonia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Caldonia leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucius Thomas, Sr. and Alice Jackson Thomas; and her siblings, Wilson Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Lucius Thomas, Jr., Lernus Thomas, Ida Thomas Ricard and Gladys Thomas Bell.

She is survived by: her siblings, Freddie Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA and Eva Thomas of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
