It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Burnell Vidrine (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey D. Vidrine; his parents, Alibe Vidrine and Adilia Chapman Vidrine; and his siblings, Edward, Frank, Veil, Kirby, Delta Vidrine, Eve Guillory, Lelma Courville and Willie Mae Lafleur.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Vidrine, Anthony Vidrine (Cyndi) and Karen Ducharme (Arvin Woellhof); his sister Laura Guillory; his grandchildren, Ashley Davila (Mario), Courtney Stewart-Starks (William), Lauren Jones, Amanda Latino (Mark), Nick Vidrine (Kelsea), Jeremi Vidrine (Brea) and Krystin Armantrout (Zachary); his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Banda, Marisol Banda, Jonathon Banda, Elijah Stewart-Starks, Jace Jones, Audria Stewart-Starks, Abram Stewart-Starks, Elizabeth Stewart-Starks, Sam Latino, Breez Thibodeaux, Audrey Vidrine, Jack Latino, Rylee Armantrout and Beaux Vidrine; his great great grandchildren, Xzavier Refugio and Noah Refugio; and his caregivers, Donna Joubert, Carriere, Angie, Lacy and Wendy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery (4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570).
