It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty McBride Walker of Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Joseph McBride, Sr. and Emma Mae Courville; and her siblings, Elta Smith, Alvin Joseph McBride, Jr., Horace McBride, Raymond McBride and Linda McBride.
She is survived by: her daughter Toyna Walker Carroll of Texas; her siblings, Mildred Stelly (Gene) of Opelousas, Jimmie McBride (Candy) of Barbourville and Terry McBride of Washington, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Morgan Gary of Oklahoma, Niecia Gary of Oklahoma, Noah Throne of Texas and Nigel Throne of Texas; her close friend Joyce Ware of Texas; and her great grandchildren, Tinsley York, Mayzlee York and Levi York, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
