She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Celestine and Ellen Celestine; her husband Lincoln "Kice" Thomas; and her daughter Juanita "Putut" Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Iona Thomas of Lafayette, LA, Ruby Thomas Lemelle (Joseph) of Opelousas, LA, Michael Batiste (Jennifer) of Lafayette, LA, James Thomas (Jimmy) of Opelousas, LA, Howard Batiste (Cheryll) of Houston, TX, Murphy Batiste of Austin, TX and David Batiste of Dayton, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
