She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Carl Smith, Sr.; her son Harold Smith; her great grandchild Scott; her parents, Clement Morain and Celestine Stoute Morain; and her son-in-law Leroy Grimmett.
She is survived by: her children, Lillie Grimmett, Wanda Stelly (Eddie Ray) and Carl Smith, Jr. (Belinda Windham Smith); and her sisters-in-law, Bernice Smith and Jackie Morain. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a host of great-great-grandchildren.
