She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Mitchell and Melia Mitchell; and her siblings, Alice Vital, Leola Callier, Alvin Mitchell and Robert Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband George R. Lemelle, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; her children, George R. Lemelle, Jr. (Michelle) of Opelousas, LA and Paula Lemelle Davis (Terry) of Leonville, LA; her brother Alfred Mitchell (Vernell) of Lafayette, LA; and also Emily Lemons (William) of Houston, TX. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
