He is survived by: his son Odie; his wife Sue Vidrine Penick of Opelousas; his son Joseph "BJ" Penick of Houston; his mother Bobbie Penick of Opelousas; his siblings, Bill Penick (Deanie) of Opelousas and Anne McKinney of Opelousas; his grandson Nathaniel "Nate" Penick; and his children, Allen M. Penick, Sr., Pallbearers, Bill Penick, Troy Penick, Mike McKinney, Don Williams and Boy Carriere.

Due to Covid, a public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
