She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Pickney; her parents, Hypolite Stein and Mary Bernadette Henry Stein; her brothers, Joseph "Putt" Stein, Joseph "Lonnie" Stein, Robert Thomas and Willie Thomas; her grandson Cedric Sam; and her godson Timothy Stein.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Pickney (Sharon) of Opelousas, LA and Mary Pickney (Neil) of Opelousas, LA; her brother Paul Stein of Leonville, LA; her grandchildren, Lorenzo Sam, Brittany Sam and Stetson Pickney; and her great grandchildren, O'Shun Sam, Estevan Sam and Sincere Sam. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
