He was predeceased by: his father Alfred Lankston Cruse; his siblings, John Cruse and Mary Lou Womack; and his great grandchild Jasmyn Kendrick. He is survived by: his wife Rubie Bonnett Cruse of Olla; and his children, Elbert Cruse (Angela), James Lee Cruse (Tiffany) of Olla, Teresa Bignar (Dennis Bignar), Mary Ann Carpenter (Kevin) of Trout and Sarah Terrell (Jamie) of Standard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
